Creative Team
Kirk Lynn (Playwright) Kirk is a playwright, novelist, and screenwriter. As one of five Artistic Directors of the Rude Mechs theatre collective, Lynn has written and adapted over twenty plays, including the critically acclaimed Lipstick Traces, The Method Gun and, most recently, Not Every Mountain.
Lynn’s current solo projects include The Lamp Is the Moon, a commission for the Seattle Children’s Theater to premiere in April 2018, and A Plan and not Quite Enough Time, commissioned by UT Theater and Dance and Texas Performing Arts to premiere in 2019 as part of Leonard Bernstein’s centenary celebration. His one-man-show The Cold Record premiered at the Fusebox Festival in spring of 2018, was part of the Under the Radar Festival at the Public Theatre in 2019, and is currently touring to Canada and Australia.
Lynn’s debut novel, Rules for Werewolves, was published in 2015 by Melville House Books. He’s currently adapting the novel for the screen and is at work on a second novel, The Vow.
Lynn earned his MFA as a fellow at the Michener Center for Writers and is Associate Professor of playwriting at the University of Texas in Austin, where he lives with his wife, poet and novelist Carrie Fountain, and their two children.

Roberto Di Donato (Director) MFA Directing Candidate. Original Works Grant Recipient. Roberto Di Donato is a theatre maker of Venezuelan & Italian descent. Upcoming: A new original work at The Fusebox Festival April 2020, Rub A Duck remount May 2020, a new original work with Frank Wo/Men Collective August 2020. Past: Most recently, Roberto assisted José Carrasquillo & Jeanette Buck on Rhinoceros produced by Tantrum Theatre. He works with Virginia Scott on The Commedia Company in NYC—Gothamist, "Best thing to do in NYC". Roberto is Associate Artistic Director of Frank Wo/Men Collective who's most recent play Rub A Duck was named “Best of Austin” and listed as “Top Arts Related Thing of 2019” by The Austin Chronicle. Frank Wo/Men Collective has been nominated for “Best Ensemble” by the Austin Critics Table each year since 2017. Roberto has translated works by Luigi Pirandello which were produced at Theatre71 in NYC.
